Trump meets Russian FM in Oval Office

US President Donald Trump met Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Wednesday at the White House. Trump later described the 40-minute meeting as "very good". Earlier, the minister met with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson at the State Department. During a press conference at the Russian embassy, Lavrov said the two meetings dealt with various types of coordination in Syria including "safe zones" as well as diplomatic contacts in Geneva and Astana aimed at ending the Syrian conflict. Lavrov called the US a "great" country but asserted that it is "embarrassing" for the US to say that Moscow influenced its presidential election, claiming there isn't a single fact proving Russian interference.
