Trump names Gen. H.R. McMaster as National Security Adviser

President Donald Trump Monday appointed Gen. H.R, McMaster, 54, as new National Security Adviser to replace Lt. Gen. James Flynn who was asked to resign last week for misreporting on a conversation with the Russian ambassador.  Gen. McMaster is the director of the Army Capabilities Integration Center and Deputy Commanding General, Futures at US Army Training and Doctrine Command. He is a much-decorated veteran of the two Iraq wars,

President Trump added that US former UN ambassador John Bolton, who was also interviewed for the job of NSA, is being considered for another capacity in his administration.
