Trump: Why pay Palestinians billions of dollars for no peace?

US President Donald Trump tweeted Wednesday: “It’s not only Pakistan that we pay billions of dollars to for nothing, but also many other countries, and others. As an example, we pay the Palestinians HUNDRED OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year and get no appreciation or respect. They don’t even want to negotiate a long overdue… peace treaty with Israel. We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table, but Israel, for that, would have had to pay more. But with the Palestinians no longer willing to talk peace, why should we make any of these massive future payments to them?”

On Dec. 23, DEBKAfile reported that Trump had decided to cut aid to UNWRA, and his administration would no longer receive Palestinian officials. The US forks out around half a billion dollars a year to the Palestinian Authority, including $370m to UNWRA, making it the largest governmental donor. We also reported that the US president is coordinating his steps on the Palestinian issue with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which have already cut aid to the Palestinians. It remains to be seen whether the Europeans, Turkey and Jordan will make up the aid shortfall.

Following the US president’s recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel last month, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas said: “The United States has proven to be a dishonest mediator in the peace process” and he refused to receive Vice President Mike Pence during his since-delayed visit to the region.

The “resistance” places their trust in Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad and———-in you, iVaN, apparently as their spokesperson.

    From the article:
“It remains to be seen whether the Europeans, Turkey and Jordan will make up the aid shortfall.”

The Europeans are spending all of their money defending themselves from all of the immigrants they let into their countries.
Turkey only takes money, they don’t give it to anyone else.
Jordan has no money———-in fact, they don’t have much of anything.
Iran will certainly do that———-all of the money Obama sent them is certainly not going to the Iranian people!

Abbas should move to France and his staff should move to Germany. This way the liberals would have what to do and the normal world will get a break.

Jonathan, having been to Israel and having seen the mansions built by Palestinians who were taking the lions share of all monies supposedly going to help them, who do you think will accually distribute any monies to the poor. The Palestinians who have are not going to share down the line to those who have not. I hold Yasar Arafat as a prime example, an Egyptian by birth, who tried to move as much money as he could out of the area when he knew his demise was near!

We pay israel billions to finance their state sponsored terrorist against an occupied defenseless population. They do a great job at it though, so there’s that.

They are defenseless!…wait, where are all those rockets coming from? Maybe if the Arab Bedouin’s (no such thing as a Palestinian) would put more money into infrastructure and education, and come up with a real peace plan to bring to the table, instead of digging stupid tunnels, things will change for them.
