Trump says he would be “honored” to meet North Korean dictator

"If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him, I would absolutely, I would be honored to do it," US President Donald Trump said Monday to Bloomberg. "If it's under the right circumstances. But I would do that. I cannot make any definite promise," he said. "I'm supposed to go to Russia; I'm also supposed to go to Israel."

White House Spokesman Sean Spicer said in his daily briefing Monday, “Conditions are not there right now. We've got to see their provocative behavior ratchet down immediately. There's a lot of conditions that I think would have to happen with respect to its behavior and to show signs of good faith."

Last week, Trump called the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un a “pretty smart cookie.”
