Trump says US will help Poland resist destabilization by Russia
During a press conference in Warsaw with his Polish counterpart, US President Donald Trump stated Thursday that his administration is working with Poland to address "Russia's actions and destabilizing behavior" but said the two leaders had not dealt with any guarantees regarding US troops based in Polish territory. Poland's President Andrzej Duda said he and Trump had discussed maneuvers by troops from the US and other NATO member states, stressing that their presence is justified especially considering the situation in Ukraine.
As for Pyongyang's test of an ICBM this week, the US president vowed "we will confront the threat from North Korea very strongly", saying the North is acting "in a very, very dangerous manner and something will have to be done about it". The US administration is considering "severe things" in response to the missile test, Trump said without elaborating.
