Trump signs trio of anti-crime directives to ‘restore safety’ in US

US President Donald Trump on Thursday signed three executive orders that he said were intended "to restore safety in America" by cracking down on criminal cartels, setting up a task force that will recommend ways of reducing violent crime, and finding ways of halting violence against law enforcement agencies. The signing followed the swearing-in of Jeff Sessions as attorney general.
