Trump takes another jab at US intel assessment on hacking

In his latest criticism of assessments by US intelligence services, President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday tweeted an assertion by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange that "a 14 year old could have hacked Podesta", referring to the hacking of the e-mail account of John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign chairman. Trump has repeatedly denied that Russian cyberattacks influenced the result of the election, claiming that the accusation is being promoted by part of the US media and Democratic rivals who lost to him. The previous day, the president-elect sent out another tweet critical of the intelligence community, saying "The "intelligence" briefing on so-called "Russian hacking" was delayed until Friday, perhaps more time needed to build a case. Very strange!"
