Trump to resume his coronavirus press briefings

President Donald Trump resumes his daily White House coronavirus press briefings on Tuesday as US infections surged past 3,7 million and deaths topped more than 140,000. His advisers discontinued them in April when they became platforms for him to contradict health officials, while he complained that journalists’ questions were “hostile.” Trump earlier on his Twitter account promoted the wearing of face masks for the first time.
