Trump travel ban from Europe shocks global markets

President Donald Trump in a prime-time speech to the American nation said he had ordered a 30-day ban on travel from Europe, excluding the UK, after WHO declared coronavirus a world pandemic. Global markets and oil prices fell sharply amid fears of a world recession. More than 1,300 cases have been reported in the United States, with at least 37 deaths, including five new fatalities reported on Wednesday. Trump’s coronavirus package was criticized by health authorities for lacking measures to curb the domestic spread of covid-19, such as free tests.  Confirmed cases in Israel reached 97 on Wednesday night.
