Trump’s national security adviser in Kabul
Gen. H.R. McMaster, President Trump’s National Security Adviser, arrived in Kabul Sunday, four days after the US military dropped a GBU-43 Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb on an Islamic State cave stronghold in eastern Afghanistan. The first high-level new US administration visitor to the Afghan capital is holding talks with President Ashraf Ghani and other senior Afghan officials on security and other matters. It is unusual for US officials to conduct high-powered foreign visits over the Easter holiday.
