Turkey charges 17 US VIPs with involvement in coup attempt
New York Senator Chuck Schumer and former CIA Director John Brennan are among the 17 American politicians, bureaucrats and academics under investigation by the Turkish judiciary on the charge of involvement in the coup attempt of July 2016. They are accused of links to exiled Turkish politician Fethullah Gulen, head of an alleged terrorist network. The prosecutors said a red notice could be issued by Interpol against the suspects.
