Turkey will participate in offensive to liberate Raqqa from ISIS: Erdogan
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said Thursday that his country will continue its military operation in northern Syria to support rebels fighting the Islamic State organization. The operation is now expanding to Al Bab, located about 40 km south of the Turkish border. Erdogan said that after Al Bab is purged of ISIS forces, the operation will target Manbij, controlled by Kurdish fighters, and "then we will go towards Raqqa", the terrorist organization's capital in Syria.
