Turkish PM, likening YPG to ISIS, hints Ankara won’t honor Syrian cease-fire

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Thursday that his country will not abide by the upcoming Syrian cease-fire if threatened. "For us, the (Kurdish) YPG (militia) is a terror organization just like Daesh," he said, referring to ISIS. "The deal did not designate the YPG as a terrorist organization. That should have been done," adding "But it should be known that this cease-fire deal is valid for Syria," hinting that it does not apply to Turkey. Meanwhile, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan asserted in Ankara that armed Kurdish organizations should be excluded from the cease-fire "just like Daesh is."
