Turks vent fury over worst mine disaster in country’s history
Anti-government protests spread across Turkey Thursday, with clashes forcibly dispersed by police in Izmir, as the first funerals were held for the 283 victims of the country’s worst mining disaster. Scores are still unaccounted for two days after an explosion and fire destroyed a coal mine at Soma. Turkey is holding three days of mourning.
