Two Egyptians killed, 6 wounded in Salafist Sinai attack
The Islamists directed rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine gunfire against an Egyptian security checkpoint and police station in northern Sinai early Wednesday. In the hills north of the Israeli town of Eilat across the border, Israeli troops found the remains of an Islamist rocket attack place last Thursday, which was claimed by the hardline Salafist Ansar Bayt al-Maqdes (Followers of Jerusalem). The remains of a second rocket are sought.
