Two Israeli Arabs planned to bomb Eilat hotel, indictment says
Two Israeli Arab residents of Jerusalem who lived and worked temporarily in Eilat are suspected of planning to carry out a terrorist attack on one of the hotels in the southern resort city, according to an indictment issued Thursday by the Beersheva district court. The two intended to rent a room and rig it with explosive devices, but the reception clerks, the manager and the security guard became suspicious and contacted the police. The suspects, who were arrested by members of elite police units with the help of the Eilat Police and the Shin Bet internal security service, admitted under questioning that they intended to carry out the attack.
