Two Israeli police officers died in terrorist attack

Two Border Guard Staff Sgts Kamil Shanan, 22, from Hofesh and Hayal Satawi, 30, from Marar – both in northern Israel – were murdered by terrorists Friday while guarding the Lion’s Gate entrance to Temple Mount. The shooters also injured a third police officer before they were gunned down. Kamil Shanan signed up as a regular police officer seven months ago and was detailed to the Jerusalem district’s Temple Mount security unit.. Hayal Satawi was survived by a wife, a three-week old baby, parents and three brothers.
