Two police officers gravely injured in Paris shooting

Two police officers were gravely injured in another attack in southern Paris early Thursday. One, a female officer, was shot in the back. Two shooters were apparently involved – one was arrested, the second fled to the Metro and disappeared on a train. Police are investigating whether this attack was connected to the Charlie Hebdo massacre or a copycat crime.  French PM Manuel Valls said that preventing another attack is our main concern.

More than 3,000 police officers are on Paris streets hunting for the two Islamist killers, Said and Cherif Kouachi, who are on the loose after murdering 12 people at the magazine headquarters Wednesday. Seven arrests have been made, including their brother-in-law.
