Two suicide attacks kill 34 people in Somalia

Al-Qaeda-affiliated Al Shabaab terrorists carried out two attacks in Somalia Sunday. In one, nine gunmen disguised in Somali police uniforms and suicide vests stormed the main court house in Mogadishu, triggering deadly gun battles with security forces. A suicide car bomber later detonated a blast near Somali intelligence HQ as an African Union convoy drove by to the city’s airport. The convoy also carried Turkish aid workers. This was the first major attack since Al Shabaab quit Mogadishu in Aug. 2011.
