Two suicide bombers kill 23 in Baghdad
More than 20 people were killed and over 100 others were injured in two suicide bombings at police checkpoints in central Baghdad on Thursday morning.
One attack was at al-Wathba Square, and the other took place in the Bab al-Sharji area. In both attacks, the bombers approached the checkpoints on foot and then detonated the explosive vests they were wearing, reports said.
