Two Turkish soldiers believed captured in Syria by ISIS
Connections with two Turkish soldiers deployed in Syria as a part of the ongoing Euphrates Shield Operation (Turkish invasion of northern Syria) have been lost, the Turkish Armed Forces announced late Tuesday.
As a search was launched for the missing men, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım was informed of the situation by the Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar. It was reported earlier that ISIS had captured the soldiers outside the Syrian town of Al-Bab, 45km from the Turkish border.
