Two US stealth B-2 bombers staged “deterrent” run over S. Korea

Flying out of Whiteman Air Force base in Missouri last week, the two nuclear-capable planes flew the 21,000 round trip to South Korea and back in a single continuous mission, dropping dummy ordnance on a target range in South Korea. North Korea reacted with furious threats of all out war on the US. In a telephone call with his South Korean counterpart Thursday, US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel stressed that all US military capability would be extended to the South, including "the nuclear umbrella, conventional strike means and missile defense.
