Two women murdered in shooting attack on Jordan Valley road

Gunfire struck a car driving on the Jordan Valley road Friday morning on Israel’s eastern b order, killing two women and seriously injuring a third. Troops set off in pursuit of the terrorist, placing roadblocks around the nearby Palestinian town of Jericho. The attack occurred the day after more than 100 rockets were fired into Israel from Lebanon in the north and the Gaza Strip in the southwest as Israelis sat down for the Passover Seder feast. After first IDF reprisals in Lebanon and Gaza, Israel remains on high security and intelligence alert on all fronts.
