UK counter-terror police probe Manchester stabbing. Five people injured

A man of 40 was detained after five people were stabbed at the Manchester city shopping center in northern England on Friday by one or more assailants. Five casualties were taken to hospital, one of them in serious condition. Some witnesses report two assailants took part in the attack. Counter Terrorism Police North West are leading the investigation. The shopping center remains closed and a police cordon is in place with a number of marked police vehicles outside and two carrying dogs. Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted: “Shocked by the incident in Manchester and my thoughts are with the injured and all those affected.”
