UK parliament approves Dec. 12 general election
The British parliament voted 418 to 20 on Tuesday to hold a snap general election on Dec. 12, after defeating the Labor opposition motion for Dec. 8. Prime Minister Boris Johnson restored 10 of the 21 Tory MPs whom he sacked from the party for opposing his Brexit plans, after they lined up behind the election vote.
