Ukraine president says Russia has withdrawn bulk of forces

Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko said on Wednesday that Russia had moved 70 percent of the troops said to have invaded eastern Ukraine back into Russian territory, raising hopes for the peace process.
Moscow has consistently denied overwhelming evidence affirmed by Kiev and the West that Russian troops had crossed the border to support pro-Russian separatists.
