UN watchdog: Iran topped up its 20pc enriched uranium stockpile
The UN nuclear watchdog’s inspectors have confirmed that Iran has added 17.6 kilograms of uranium enriched to 20pc to its stockpile, raising it to 2,967.8 kilograms and up from 2,442.9 kilograms registered on November 2. This is a double violation of the 2015 nuclear accord, which permits Iran to keep a stockpile of no more than 202.8 kilograms and allows enrichment only up to 3.67%.
