UNESCO again denies Jewish people’s link to Jerusalem holy sites

A committee of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization passed a resolution on Wednesday similar to one passed a week earlier by the executive board denying the Jewish people's link to the Temple Mount, the Western Wall and other holy sites. Out of the World Heritage Committee's 21 members, 10 were in favor, two were opposed, eight abstained and one was absent from the secret balloting. In response to the latest resolution on the Old City of Jerusalem and its walls, Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu said that "the theater of the absurd continues" and ordered the recall of Israel's ambassador to UNESCO, Carmel Shama-Hacohen, for consultations.
