US allows laptops in cabins of flights from Riyadh, marking end of ban
The US Department of Homeland Security said Wednesday that passengers on US-bound flights from Riyadh's King Khalid international airport are once again permitted to bring laptop computers on board with their carry-on luggage. It marked the lifting of a controversial ban on laptops and other large electronic devices onboard flights to the US from 10 airports in the Middle East and North Africa. Riyadh's airport was the last of the 10 to be found in compliance with the revised security measures for US-bound flights.
