US-backed militia liberates strategic Syrian city from ISIS

The Syrian Democratic Forces, a militia trained and armed by the US military, completed its liberation of the city of Tabqa from ISIS on Wednesday. The Tabqa dam, Syria's largest, was also captured. The city and the dam on the Euphrates river are about 40 kilometers west of Raqqa, the ISIS capital in Syria.
