US envoys condole with family of Ari Fuld

US Ambassador David Friedman and his predecessor Dan Shapiro expressed deep condolences to the family of Ari Fuld, 45 a US citizen, who was murdered by a Palestinian terrorist at a Gush Etzion mall Monday. Friedman tweeted: Ari Fuld was a passionate defender of Israel and an American patriot. He represented the best of both countries. Former ambassador Shapiro wrote in his Twitter: The attack was an outrageous act of terrorism which should be loudly condemned by all.
Fuld managed to fire a shot, along with another civilian, and injured his assailant, a 17-year old Palestinian from Yata, near Hebron, before he collapsed. He died in hospital a short time later. Fuld volunteered for combat service with the IDF infantry, then served as a reservist. He was slightly injured in the Second Lebanon War.  A resident of Efrat, he is survived by his wife and four children
