US House acts to tighten sanctions on Iran and Hizballah

One of the four bills passed by the US House Wednesday with bipartisan approval would impose sanctions on Iranian individuals and agencies involved in missile development, especially the Revolutionary Guard Corps, and its suppliers. Two the four measures would sanction Hizballah individuals for using human shields as a war crime and target the terrorist group’s finances. A third asks the European Union to fully designate all parts of Hizballah a terrorist organization, not just its “military wing.”
