US House Speaker kept Netanyahu invitation from White House

John Boehner, House Speaker, told Fox Sunday that he deliberately avoided informing the White House about his invitation to Israel’s prime minister to address Congress on Iran on March 3. “I wanted to make sure there was no interference,” he said. “There’s no secret here in Washington about the animosity that this White House has for Prime Minister Netanyahu. I frankly didn’t want them getting in the way and quashing what I thought was a real opportunity.I’m glad that he’s coming, and I’m looking forward to what he has to say,” Boehner said.
