US intel: Putin tried to influence election. Trump: No effect

Vladimir Putin ordered an “influence campaign” aimed at the 2016 US presidential election to “denigrate” Hillary Clinton with “a clear preference for President-elect Trump” – according to a declassified report issued by US intelligence Friday. Donald Trump hit back, saying that the effort had no effect on the election. He counter-attacked the Obama administration, accusing it of ignoring massive hacking operations going on for eight years by Russia and others against the White House, the Pentagon, other federal institutions and corporate businesses. Yet after years of “gross negligence,” the administration only woke up when the DNC was hacked. Vice President-elect Mike Pence promised that the incoming administration would aggressively and effectively fight alien hacking operations against America.
