US: Iran & North Korea use secret supply channels

Thomas Countryman, US Asst. Secy for Intl Security and Nonproliferation, said Friday that Iran and North Korea were circumventing sanctions to procure high-tech materials for their nuclear programs. Both have developed channels enabling them to export and procure the items they need. Iran is moreover sending weapons and ammunition to the Syrian government despite a ban.
