US military jury sentences Ford Hood shooter to death

Maj. Nidal Hasan was sentenced Wednesday to be executed for murdering 13 military personnel in a shooting rampage at the Fort Hood US base in 2009. He defended himself at the military trial by saying he acted in defense of the Muslim peoples of Afghanistan and Iraq against US forces.
