US officials will assist in Ethiopian probe of air disaster

The US Federation Aviation Administration, in contact with the State Department,“is monitoring developments” concerning the Ethiopian Airlines crash on Sunday that killed all 157 people on board. Four US officials have already arrived in Addis Ababa to assist the Ethiopian authorities’ investigation into the causes of the disaster.
Red Cross and other personnel scouring the area for remains report that no large segments remain from the crashed airliner. The jetliner, a new Boeing 737-8 MAX, showed unstable vertical speed after takeoff, air traffic monitor Flightradar 24 said in a Twitter post.

    I heard the Ethiopian pilot was the best they had. In only 6 months he went from sweeping the hut floors of the main terminal to pilot. Vroom, vroom, vroom!
