US probes 17 NKorean cyberattacks for funding weapons programs

Neighboring South Korea was the main victim of recent North Korean cyberattacks against financial institutions and cryptocurrency exchanges to raise funds for its weapons programs, according to a new US report. Seoul was subjected to 10 cyberattacks, followed by India with three and Bangladesh and Chile with two each, illicitly netting Pyongyang some $2bn.
