US queries Israel’s listing of Palestinian NGOs as terror fronts
Israeli troops on Thursday raided and shut down the offices of 7 Palestinian NGOs in Ramallah, after they were designated part of the network run by the terrorist group, the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Their files and documents were confiscated. Defense Minister Benny Gantz said on Wednesday that these NGOs operate in the guise of humanitarian work for secretly mobilizing activists and fraudulently raising funds and support for a terrorist organization. The US State Department said that Israel had promised to respond to its request for clarifications with more materials. Certain European countries announced last month that they were not satisfied with Israel’s case and would continue to work with the listed Palestinian NGOs
