US Rep. Mike Rogers: Israel will strike Iran soon unless US commits to the job

Rep. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House intelligence committee, said in Jerusalem Thursday that Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu is “at his wits’ end” with what he sees as lack of US resolve and clarity about the Iranian nuclear threat. He said after meeting Israeli leaders that he thinks Israel will launch its own preemptive attack on Iran soon, when its military has the best chance of damaging the Iranian program. That could change, Rogers said,  if the White House could convince Israel leaders that the US would really do the job later. Iran too was unconvinced and so continues to develop its nuclear weapon capability.
