US reported setting up new base in W. Iraq

American military sources in Washington report that several hundred US Marines are  building a new American base in western Iraq, about 20km from  the strategic Anbar Province town of Al Qaim, which was captured from ISIS last week. Their task will focus on cleaning up the last ISIS fighters still remaining in the Euphrates Valley, which straddles the Iraqi-Syrian border. The US commanders are said to have taken into account possible clashes with pro-Iranian Shiite Iraqi militias, especially the PMU and other forces operating in the area, which took part in the capture of Al Qaim and are also fighting alongside Iraqi troops in the new assault on nearby Rawa.

This was the first time US military sources had referred explicitly to a possible hostile encounter between American Marines and Iranian surrogates, such as the PMU and Hizballah.

PMU and Hizballah won’t like the outcome if they mess with the Marines there. And it won’t be pretty.

Does not have to be pretty, ‘coze Hizballah is very ugly.

On the other hand, same as with Hamas, they dig a lot, and they dig well. And one does not need to be a comical bearded profet to see it is in fact gardening their true call. There are a 1000 times more vitamins in a single lettuce than in a 1000 kalashnikovs.

True, even ‘pissy knickers’ and Soloman ‘bi focal’ can keep Persia out of Golan. It’s David and Goliath time.

The U.S. only goes after ISIS when ISIS has not killed as many Americans as the Shiite militias have in Iraq. Fighting only ISIS was a gift that Obama gave to Iran in order to clench the nuclear deal. If ISIS would have been left alone to fight against Iran, then Iran would have been weakened, but the U.S. chose to make ISIS its number one target which has benefited Iran since ISIS has been greatly weakened by the U.S. So when is the U.S. going to directly hit and weaken Hezbollah for the benefit of its Middle East allies like Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, etc? We are still all waiting.

PMU is using American weapons provided by Abadi. We saw Abrams tanks and humvees attacking the Kurds, in addition to light American weapons.

The only real problem Iran has is with this wave of revelations about sexual abuses. Why is Khamenei still hiding all the bad experiences he had with Khomeini?
