US: Russia’s claim of moving troops from Ukraine border is “false”

A senior US official branded “false” Moscow’s claim to have moved “logistic forces” from the Crimean border of Ukraine. Rather than a withdrawal, Russia had  “added 7,000 extra troops in recent days,” he said, adding that Russia could launch a “false” pretext to invade Ukraine “at any moment.”
Kyiv Thursday denied accusations of opening mortar fire on their territory in eastern Ukraine four times in the past 24 hours.
