US sanctions Palestinian ISIS operative who aided terrorists in Jerusalem
One of the three key ISIS terrorists sanctioned by the US Treasury Friday was Husayn Juaythini. He was blacklisted for providing support and services to ISIS by facilitating communications and the movement of foreign terrorist fighters and financial support. He was the link between ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, to whom he pledged allegiance in Sept. 2014, and armed groups in Gaza, and financing an Islamic State foothold in Gaza. DEBKAfile adds: In the same period, Juaythini helped Palestinian terror groups in the Jerusalem region to obtain weapons and funds. Last year, he traveled to Libya, where he set up an organization for the transfer of terrorists from the Gaza Strip and Libya to fight for ISIS in Syria.
