US sources: Russians downed our drone over Libya
The US unarmed drone that disappeared over Tripoli, Libya last month was downed by a Russian air defense system, US military sources said on Friday. DEBKAfile: Moscow has supplied advanced jamming equipment to the Russian Wagner Group mercenaries who are serving in Libya. The drones used for US intelligence missions in Libya are usually RQ-4 Global Hawks or MQ-9 Reapers from bases in Italy and Nigeria. US sources are demanding the recovery of the downed drone’s fragments. Meanwhile, US officials recently held their own secret meetings with Gen. Haftar in an effort to broker a ceasefire in the long battle for the Libyan capital.

Russian may get back if the West keeps supporting the Muslim Brotherhood in Tripoli which is also supported by Turkey and Qatar. General Haftar is supported by Egypt and US support him as well.
