US Supreme Court nixes Trump’s bid to disqualify four state election results

A lawsuit filed by the state of Texas, seeking to invalidate election results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, was thrown out by the Supreme Court on Friday. The court ruled that Texas did not have legal standing to bring the case.

The ruling is a major setback for President Donald Trump, who suggested that the dispute over the November results in battleground states, which he claimed were rigged, would be settled by the Supreme Court.
