US terror alert for holiday-season travel in Europe

American citizens traveling in Europe during the coming holiday season are advised by the State Department to exercise caution at holiday festivals, events and outdoor markets, following credible information that ISIS, Al Qaeda and their affiliates continue to plan terrorist attacks in the continent during the upcoming holidays. Extremists may use both conventional and non-convention weapons. While attacks have taken place in France, Belgium and Germany, this warning applies to all parts of Europe.
