US to send two Patriots with 400 military personnel to Turkey
Announcing this Friday, NATO officials said the two US anti-missile batteries and personnel were part of a broader push to beef up Turkey’s defenses against Syrian missile attack. Two more Patriots would come from Germany and two from the Netherlands, signalling the start of overt US and NATO intervention in the Syrian conflict. All six will be under NATO command and control and are scheduled to be operational by the end of January.
