US warns China to stop “destabilizing” steps in Asia
US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel accused China of destabilizing, unilateral actions in the South China Sea and warned that Washington “will not look the other way when fundamental principles of the international order are challenged.” He was addressing the Shagri-La Dialogue in Singapore. Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera said Tokyo perceived an "increasingly severe regional security environment."
