USAF Hercules transports land in Israel at start of joint exercise
Juniper Falcon 19, the regular joint US-Israel joint exercise, was launched on Thursday, Feb. 7 when US Airlift Air Wing’s C-130J Hercules transports flew in from Ramstein Air Base to land at the IAF Hatzor air base in central Israel. They came with 400 US military personnel and equipment. A comparable number of Israeli personnel is taking part in the drill. The exercise ending on Feb. 15 is conducted under the US European Command. Israeli units include the air defense array, the Planning and Operations Directorate as well as logistics and medical units.
