Vaccinations for kids under 12 expected in winter

An US FDA official said on Thursday that emergency authorization for the first Covid-19 vaccines for children under 12 may be available in midwinter. Both Pfizer and Moderna launched trials for the 5-11 age group in March, to fill the last gap in universal covid vaccination, and they expect results in the fall.
